Attention All Employers!

Effective immediately, employers must report re-hires, or employees who return to work 60 days after being laid off, furloughed, separated, granted a leave without pay, or terminated from employment. Employers must also report any employee who remains on the payroll during a break in service or gap in pay, and then returns to work after 60 days.

Ahhh springtime, when the days get longer, the sun is shining, and businesses begin hiring for the warm weather season. If you are in an industry with seasonal hiring, now is your time to report! The Wisconsin New Hire Reporting Center would like to remind all employers to report their employees who are hired or rehired over the coming months. A re-hire is defined as an individual being off payroll for sixty (60) days or more.
